Unable to find HDHomeRun tunner on local network.

When I attempt to connect via the Windows 10 application, I receive the "Unable to find HDHomeRun tunner on local network." error message.

I am able to ping and tracert to the device. The IP address is reserved in DHCP. The tuner works fine while using Plex.

Why am I receiving this error message from my PC?

Do you have the network set as Private in the Windows network settings?

Is the PC's IP address in the same subnet as the HDHomeRun's?

Do you have any third-party firewall/security/antivirus/antimalware software installed on the PC?

Yes. Yes. Windows Firewall and Kaspersky AV.

This previously worked.

As I stated, I can ping and trace route to the device.

Remove Kaspersky, reboot, and check it again.

have you tried it on another device, ie android app?

that would rule out some stuff if you can see it

ive had this issue when device cannot get the tv guide data from the server, then it cannot be found but will be seen and works in plex

is about time it was updated so it will still work if it cannot get data

The device works on Plex and on all of the TVs. It only fails to identify the device on my laptop. I believe this failed after a MS update a month back.

The device is registered on my laptop as well. The IP address in the registry is accurate.
