Re: odd metv bug

No idea on the difference in resolution/codec, but they do have 2 separate broadcast facilities, their primary at 4 Times Square and their backup at 1WTC. The primary is at a much lower elevation but much higher power compared to the backup, so if they are switching between them, you may see a diffe...

Re: HDHomeRun Record service only working when PC has active user session

Do you have sleep disabled on the PC? Windows 11 is by default very aggressive with power saving and will sleep after just a few minutes of inactivity.

Re: Scribe Quatro no longer working correctly

It looks like the drive has failed, and something about how it failed is causing a reboot and that is resulting in the other odd behaviors. At a guess, the drive might be drawing an excessive amount of power trying to spin up, which trips the protection in the power supply and causes it to reboot.

Re: Google TV app shows wrong channel when tuned

I would think that just scanning a Dual in HDHomeRun Setup with the coax unplugged would wipe the data on the server, and since there's no background scan on a Dual, it won't come back. I don't have a Dual that is easily accessible to test though.

Re: Flickering on animaiton on Fox

Do you see it on the built-in tuner on a TV? Seeing it across multiple devices likely indicates that it's being encoded like that by the broadcaster.

Re: Google TV app shows wrong channel when tuned

You have an old HDHomeRun Dual on your network that hasn't been rescanned since sometime before the repack, and it still has old channel locations. Go into the HDHomeRun Setup program, click on the Digital Antenna tab, select the Dual, and run a channel scan to update the stored lineup data.

Re: Why does HDHR5-2US have port 554 open?

WMC uses RTSP for streaming from CableCARD devices. Most of the firmware is common across all modern devices, so it's probably just there. AFAIK there's no way to actually tune channels using it, as WMC uses the DRI CAS:SetChannel interface to do that and just uses RTSP for the network part of things.

Re: Roku and Prime

Some cable providers include additional data on the data stream that contains the tables that tell the receiver where to find the audio and video data associated with a particular channel. This is a perfectly valid thing to do, and the correct behavior for the parser is to look at the identifier in ...

Search for the show on the Discover tab and select it and it will give you a list of all the upcoming episodes including episode numbers, and you can schedule recordings from there.

Re: No channel guide for one channel. Can't record.

Our system pulls in updated data from our guide provider each day. If they happened to add the listing for that channel in your area then it might update around that time. It would also be updated if someone else on the same cable provider had opened a ticket and asked us to fix it.

Re: Phoenix issues

I flipped 12.5 to use the The Nest listing from KCAL in LA, so maybe that helps?
33.5 updated
44.4 set to BarkTV. I don't think that existed the last time I was messing with Phoenix listings.
ARID listing set on Cox 34.
