Re: DRM Protected Channels
"Val: ?" is a problem - you need to call your cable company and repeat the card paring before any DRM protected channels will work.

Re: MythTV: Failures due to "/lib64/libmythtv-33.so.33: undefined symbol: hdhomerun_discover2_device_if_get_ip_addr"
"hdhomerun_discover2_device_if_get_ip_addr" missing indicates that the libhdhomerun library version is out of date - you need to install a newer / latest version.

Re: List of Supported devices
The logs from the new ONN indicate AC4 passthrough and codec support. I will try to buy one to test in our lab.
Test - Can you please set the speaker configuration to "5.1 Surround Sound" then watch an ATSC 3.0 channel.

Re: Recording metadata - TPeterson
It should not be checking every 10 minutes... that suggests the record engine thinks the sync failed triggering a faster than normal retry.
The sync is required because the guide servers need to know what images to keep around for recordings to have images.

Re: DVR playback stops randomly
The HDHomeRun app waited 10s for data then timed out.
The stats from the HDHomeRun FLEX look fine.

Re: Encryption
Open to feedback - what features/areas do you think there is room to improve on? I hope that you have this already on the to-do list? The record engine already supports playout only operation (ie disabling recording) by setting the RecordStreamsMax to 0 in the conf file. We can't disable internet A...

Re: DVR playback stops randomly
Thanks - I see the end-of-stream information in the log.
Did it simply stop while playing or were you seeking at the time?

Re: Encryption
As for TV-specific apps, you're never going to have first-class support. They're too esoteric. HDHomeRun is widely supported on Android TV, Apple TV, iOS, Android, Windows, and Mac. My Android TV box does AC-4 audio beautifully in 5.1 with local decoding. And that's only first-party support, not in...

Re: Encryption
But why does silicondust continue to market and sell this device as a 3.0 nexgen tuner The HDHomeRun FLEX 4K is a NextGen TV (logo) tuner, fully certified by the CTA. without being up front that it does not receive Nexgen DRM channels DRM is an optional feature for NextGen tuners. We clearly state ...

Ok, lets check what is going on... can you please enable "send diagnostic information" in the settings menu of the HDHomeRun app, reproduce the problem, then reply back with the DeviceID of your HDHomeRun.

Re: new cox tuning adapter
When using a VECIMA tuning adapter make sure the cable feed is connected to the VECIMA box, then the RF output of the VECIMA box is connected to the HDHomeRun. Do not split the cable feed and feed the HDHomeRun separately. This is critical as the VECIMA generates the OOB RF signal the HDHomeRun need...
