Sorry, but many of us can't receive a lot of the old atsc 1 channels because some are on a low VHF channel or on a transmitter from another direction. Yes, A3SA is the broadcasters. It is not the content providers. Paramount, NFL, MLB, etc.

So, if I have an app that uses HDHome Run Flex 4K (like Channels DVR, for instance)......do they get the benefit of the cloud AC4? AC-4 cloud transcoding is a service specific to HDHomeRun apps. I believe Channels DVR is currently decoding AC-4 locally using a patched/development version of ffmpeg,...
