Software Installation

TotalMedia must be downloaded through the HDHomeRun Setup application, see below for details.

Download and install the latest HDHomeRun software from downloads.

Run HDHomeRun Setup:

Applications:

Set the Main Application to TotalMedia.
Download: Click the Download button to download TotalMedia.
License Key: The TotalMedia license key will be displayed below the download button. When running the TotalMedia installation program, you will be prompted for a key. Enter the License Key as listed in HDHomeRun Setup.

Tuners:

Set the Signal Source to Digital Antenna or Digital Cable as appropriate for each tuner. If only one tuner is connected set the unused tuner to Disabled.

Channels:

Run TotalMedia:

Select "TV"
The TotalMedia setup wizard should appear; click Next.
If your region is not already selected, set your Region.
Click Next.
If prompted for a video device, select the first HDHomeRun.
Select "Cable TV" or "Antenna TV", then click next.
Click "Start" to perform a channel scan; this will take several minutes. Click next when complete.
You will be asked if you want to set up a second tuner. If you plan to use both tuners (e.g. to watch one program while recording another, or to record 2 programs at once), select Yes and click Next. If you only plan to use a single tuner, select No and click Next.
If you selected Yes in the previous step, select the second tuner and click Next.
Select "Yes" to use the internet for EPG, and click next. See notes below regarding configuring the EPG.
Click Finish.

You should now be able to watch live tv.
