Thanks DocFunkinstien, still working on it.

I've gotten a ton of requests to look at the app and lots of positive feedback which has been helpful. Right now I'm not going to accept anymore requests to see the app. I'll post something here when I have more to show.

Thanks!

Can't get XBMC to run on Samsung Galaxy 10.1- I installed the latest nightly build, it seemed to install OK, but it won't run. Looks like it TRIES to run - black screen- but then it crashes. Maybe a later version of XBMC will run, or maybe it will run once Samsung releases Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich for my device.

Nope. XMBC doesn't run on Ice Cream Sandwich, either (on the Galaxy 10.1 tablet.)

Just another one who would welcome such an app. Once the basics are done, add an epg from the dvb-t signal and you've just created the ultimate set-top box !

Thanks zaren. Every couple of months I search for a way to view TV from my HDHR on my android devices (Galaxy Tab 8.9, Galaxy Nexus, Galaxy S). I have used your HDHR signal meter app in the past and found it helpful. I am looking forward to a release of your new app under development. If you ever need a wider beta audience, I am sure there are additional people here willing to help out.

XBMC - now out on Android

Postby dannyboy1121 » Sun Oct 07, 2012 8:25 am

Folks - I've been waiting for ages for something to run HDHomerun output on Android.

Now XBMC is coming out for Android and apk's are already available for download.

I've installed a version of it on my HTC Flyer. I've copied the channel config files across that I use on my Linux XBMC system to a local drive on the Flyer and added them in to the XBMC video section.

Hey presto - live streaming TV.

As XBMC is in development - there are likely to be a few bugs but it's a step in the right direction.

Would love to try zaren's app when it's available.

In the meantime, I found something else you'll all be interested in. Details here: http://www.silicondust.com/forum/viewto ... 8455#78455

I've finally released my app. Here is the link:

https://play.google.com/store/apps/deta ... .HomeRunTV

If you have any questions/issues please send me an e-mail to the address in the app's page. I haven't been able to test in many different countries or on many different devices to I expect there to be a few issues and I'll try and resolve them quickly.

Also, just an FYI, in my testing I've found using VPlayer as the video player is much more stable than MX Player.

Apologies to all the people who PM'd me that never got a response. I haven't been able to respond to PM's for a little while now for some reason.

For some reason it is not seeing my hdhomerun. But neither are my wireless laptops. I can watch tv on my laptop on wireless through Media Center but when I go to hdhomerun setup it says 0 tuners found. It must be a setting on my router but I can't figure it out. Really looking forward to using this!
