And which applications is this?

Hi Nick

Could you give us an update on the estimate?

I know there is development and test, and that you most probably not can give a date, but if you could tell us how the fix is progressing we would appreciate it a lot. We are many user of YouSee that is waiting to use the TV part of our mediacenter again

Yousee: Had the same issue with a new Samsung TV (UE32D5005)

Postby buschsom » Tue May 10, 2011 11:31 am

Seems that the limited number of channels (32) is linked to the network-ID.
Samsung has 999 as default network-ID, and you only get 32 channels, if you however select (00)151, being the Yousee default for DVB-C, you get all channels.
Hope this helps.

mbulow wrote:An easy solution to this problem is to download and install DVBLink TVSource from www.dvblogic.com

Following the guide in the downloaded .zip file makes it quite easy. Just remember to change the "Main Application" in HDHomeRun Setup to "Other DVB-T/DVB-C".

The download is only a 20-day trial, but if SiliconDust manages to release a beta in about 3 weeks, it will be a free temporary solution.

I have followed this advice and installed DVBlink. You have to follow the manual very carefully, maybe experiment a little. But the result is great. It works! Basically it is not a good idea to put in an extra layer of software, but it seems to me that DVBlink better manages the tuners than does the
Silicondust software . The EPG part is a bit tricky, but now it works OK.
Try it

Danish YouSeecustomers ( There is i a lot of them in our 5 mio country)
Answer: No, They are slow and unresponsible
Question: Are the products cheap and easy to use
Answer No
There is room for a competitor on this market!

Hi,

To clarify, this is not a "fix a bug" class of problem.

The HDHomeRun is doing it's job - it is tuning the channel and streaming to WMC.

We are working on a solution where the HDHomeRun BDA driver extracts the YouSee channel information, modifies it to follow the DVB standard, and re-inserts it back into the stream so that WMC sees the expected information.

We plan to release this first as a public beta, then formally as part of the next HDHomeRun software release.

I have faith that you will get it to work... I tried the DVBlink solution and it is trash for me, it is just not stable.

Can you reccomend any other TV viewer software untill the WMC7 fix is ready?

Postby jake_1006 » Wed May 18, 2011 2:25 am

Hi Nick - Are you able to let us know if a solution can be expected? An estimate?

I'm would like to stay with HDHR - but at some point I will have to look for other solutions.

Yes, an update would be nice. I'm really missing my tuner - couldn't record Lady Gaga in HD last friday night ... no, just kidding, I'm in my mid fourties

Any chance of a new version soon?

Well, it looks like that we we are screwed anyways..
soon we will need cam moduls in the tuner in DK.

but luckly there is now other tuners that works in DK now.

Jeg kan se mm-vision har nogle nye tunere på programmet. måske de også har opgivet og få det her til og virke..
