CyberLink SoftDMA

PowerDVD 11 and 12 don't work with copyonce protected content from other sources I have so I do not give SoftDMA much hope. I tried questioning Cyberlink via their support about SoftDMA but they mistook my pre-purchase question with a trouble issue and sent me a script asking me to recreate the issue and send them a file. Then I got a feed back request and blasted them for not having someone who understands english read my question and reply to me properly.

As noted the trial version does not contain the needed software for DRM so the trial is pointless to see if it works other than seeing how the program functions in general. Based on the results so far for 11 & 12 I doubt it will work.

Yeah that's too bad. On the upside, in the PowerDVD thread nickk said they are working with Cyberlink to resolve the issues.

I have a HP DV6 and a Lenovo T500 notebooks with SOFTDMA installed. I have updated the video drivers on both and now I can get audio but no video. I think to get the audio I had to disable the SRS Audio Essentials and use the WOW headsets instead.
