Posting here since I do not believe it is a PS3 issue but an issue with the Prime.
Devices cannot see all the channels (PS3, Windows Media Player, Sony Blu Ray player). This is not a premium channel issue since some of the channels are the locals in HD coming in via the cablecard channel assignment.
Beta registrtion went ok. On the PS3 the DTCP-IP successfully enabled.
On the device webpage I did the "Detect Channels".
"Subscribed Channels" does NOT show all the channels (the missing channels are the ones with the issue)
"Basic Channels" does NOT show all the channels (the missing channels are the ones with the issue)
"All channels" shows all the channels, including the ones missing from the playlist.
An example of a non working channel: 780 HBOHD
An example of a working channel: 500 HBOSD, 752 TNTHD, 695 Disney XD HD
Yes. I did select the correct folder on the PS3 for protected content.
Yes. I did power cycle both the prime and the PS3
BTW HBOHD and all the other missing channels work fine in WMC.
Diags enabled, devices: 13201A41 and 132019EB
Just did another detect channels as well.
Cable Co: Charter in Glendale, CA
Cablecard type: Cisco
SDV TA: STA1520
EDIT 1: BTW, the channel lists behave the same way with older firmware so this is probably not an issue newly introduced in the 20130117 beta. Only difference is that it did not seem to visibly affect functionality at that time (with WMC or the elgato HDHomerun app)
EDIT 2: PS: It is also not a matter of the first X channels missing. Example, the "Music" channels in the 900 range show up. There are some channels missing in the 300 and 500 ranges, yet there are also channels that correctly show up in the 700 range. The channels misssing/avail are a mixture of protected and non protected channels that also work in media center.
