Same for me: "Error. An error occurred while processing your request." Doesn't matter which browser I'm on.

Seems like I am in
"Registration Complete
Thank you! Your device will be activated shortly. Please proceed to the support page to download the latest firmware."

Just redid mine with exact same info and now it says accepted etc :) So they must have fixed it and I'd retry today if you didn't get in.
Hoping my Pivos Aios media player will work, it does have the UPNP or whatever it's called and has always detected three tuners, just doesn't use them.

Still not working

Postby UsualNoise » Fri Jan 18, 2013 9:27 am

I still get the same error, I've put the exact same info in each time (ID, email, name) but continue to get the error.

I got that error message at first

Postby okuturn » Fri Jan 18, 2013 9:46 am

I got the error message when I tried to register. I wasn't on my Win7 box that I use for WMC recording but I was on my old XP box that had the software installed. I decided to use my Win 7 box and update the firmware first. Once I did that I went to the registration screen from that machine using firefox and it registered without problem. Perhaps the firmware needs to be updated first?

Hope that helps.

Update

Postby RobZ » Fri Jan 18, 2013 10:41 am

I was getting the same errors. After updating the HDHR3-CC to the beta firmware, the next time I tried registration it was successful. I suspect my box needed to "phone home" with my Hardware ID in order to whitelist it as valid for registration.

Upgrade Firmware before registering

Postby awk » Fri Jan 18, 2013 11:25 am

Yep - upgrading to the 20130117beta1 firmware first, and then registering worked.

Can someone update the instructions at http://www.silicondust.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=14188 to reflect that you should upgrade then register ?

Confirmed here also, install the beta firmware first, then register, worked perfectly first try when done in that order.
