I wondered the same but I was holding my yogurt and travel mug about to leave for work when testing this morning.

I'll try the firmware and then register method when I get home. The directions seemed to be pretty specific to do one before the other so didn't want to try that until i learned more.

Thanks for the tip, will report back later.

(also a reminder now that I need to update my network settings post move so i can remote in to test these things from work)

Well, I'm not going to try anything else until someone from SiliconDust comments here on the correct procedure. Hopefully that happens at some point. :)

After receiving the error and reading another poster's suggestions, I updated the firmware and then registered. The registration succeeded on the first try thereafter. I am now able to use the beta features and have successfully tested it using a PS3 & WDTV Live.

OK, I also successfully registered after installing the beta firmware. Looks like I'm all set now, thanks all.

That worked for me as well. I tried registering but failed. Updated one of my primes with the latest beta firmware. I was then able to register that prime on their registration site.

Same here. Install beta firmware FIRST then register and it goes smoothly.

I have updated to the beta firmware and have registered twice now. I've also tried power cycling twice. The DLNA server doesn't seem to be working at all. Device ID is 1314E704.

Your device is enrolled ok.

Go to the device webpage using HDHomeRun Config GUI... status menu, system status - check that DTCP-IP is listed.

It's finally working. I'm guessing the first registration didn't go through and it took a few minutes after the second attempt to get everything working. Thanks for the help.

We fixed a problem with the registration system yesterday... please register again, wait 5 minutes, then power cycle the HDHomeRun.
