Finds HDHomeRun Live DMS as a source under Local Network

App gives you a choice, 'Choose a Screen'. Plays HD and SD on my Samsung TV when I select it. (of course this is redundant since it plays native). If I select 'My Android', comes up with choice 'Complete action using', only have MX player installed, so it is the choice.

Plays SD channel for a few seconds to perhaps minute, then just goes back to channel selection. Attempts to play HD come back with 'Unable to Play Video'. Seems to be MX Player issue, the DLNA function of the app seems promising.

Side note, I have XMBC on my DROID Bionic, and it gets the same 'unable to play video' message trying to play both SD and HD video. Having trouble with Amazon at the moment trying to install iMediaShare on my Droid Bionic, purchase comletes but it doesn't download. Will update when I get a chance.

No more time to play today, so posting this message with limited testing :(

Thanks for the iMediaShare info. Downloaded OK and finds the Prime, lists channels. Have VPlayer installed but will not play. Time to play around with other players.

Can confirm that Skifta + VLC beta works for SD channels on a 2nd gen Kindle Fire (not the HD version, standard 7"). HD channels load but quickly stall or pixelate then the player exits whether hardware accel is enabled or not in VLC. Installed Skifta from Amazon store and VLC beta using link provided earlier in the thread. SD channels are sometimes slightly out of sync with audio but that's a minor thing, they all seem to play fine.

Alright - I registered for the beta and power cycled the tuner. It shows DTCP on the device's setup screen. I have installed XBMC, iMediaShare, MediaHouse, BubbleUPnP, MX Player, and Wondershare. And not only on my Galaxy S3, but my Nexus 7 also. All of my devices are on the same network at home - and none of the apps find the tuner.

So I pulled up PowerDVD 12 on my HTPC and it finds the tuner with no issues. What gives? Any ideas or places to look?

What router? Some routers (the Actiontec router FiOS comes to mind) mess up multicast traffic over wireless, but not a wired connection. Easiest test is to use a laptop that works on a wired connection, connect via wireless and open HDHomeRun Setup. If you get a UPNP error, then your router is doing something bad. See the web page that message opens for troubleshooting info (http://www.silicondust.com/support/hdho ... cast_recv/).

I got Skifta running with Wondershare on a Kindle Fire (original version) and my Casio phone.
Nothing else worked for the player -- xbmc, moboplayer, dolphin video viewer, 3 or 4 others as suggested in the postings above... all reported that they couldn't open the URL (homerunip):5004/auto/vN?dlna, where N is the channel number.
Couldn't even open it through browser, even though it worked from a laptop on the same wireless network.
Probably something dumb in my setup, but it works now with a little hiccup here and there for SD.
