Notes:

1) The latest PS3 system software is required for HDHomeRun Prime DLNA operation.

2) Make sure you are in the video group (not music or pictures). If you are in music or pictures the HDHomeRun can be selected but there will be no content.

3) Recommend using the Premium Cable TV folder (protected content).

4) When you first enter the Premium Cable TV folder you may be given instructions on how to enable DTCP-IP support on the PS3 - please follow the instructions on screen.

Known problems:

1) The PS3 is slow to start displaying video when a channel is selected.

2) The PS3 can get into a state where it fails to list any content from the HDHomeRun or other DMS devices on your network. Once in this state the PS3 must be rebooted to recover. We suspect the more DMS devices you have on your network the more likely you are to see this issue.

Missing channels > 106 on PS3 -= RESOLVED =-

Postby bspvette86 » Thu Jan 17, 2013 9:00 pm

I did the full scan and all my channels show up under "Subscribed Channels" when browsing "http://tunerip/lineup.html?show=subscribed", but my Premium Cable TV folder only has about 50 channels listed.

Fixed this myself.... Rebooted Prime and the PS3. Everything is showing up now. Rebooting also fixed pixilation I was getting initially.

Cheers!

PS3 does not see it

Postby omej1234 » Thu Jan 17, 2013 9:35 pm

I installed the beta and and updated my PS3 as well to the latest update. I then restarted the prime and PS3. When I go to 'Video' group, I see other computers in my network but not the HDHR. I don't see a 'Premium Cable TV' folder either.

Is this functionality supported on ALL PS3 models? I have the original model that was released way back in 2006.

omej1234, i'm getting the same problem as you. updated the new beta firmware for the prime and updated my ps3 but i'm not getting any HD Homerun icon showing up on the videos section. i only see and access my htpc in the living room. I have a ps3 slim by the way and have power cycled both my ps3 and hdhr prime. Any help out there? Thanks for the help in advance.

I have the oooold 1st gen PS3 w/ the latest update. It picked up HDHR's DLNA fine. I enabled DTCP-IP to access channels under "Premium" folder. Loses signals intermittently, however. I have 100baseT network.... wonder if that's the reason...

Have you registered your Prime for the Beta and restarted it?

Yes. However, on my initial registration it said "Error processing request." After I tried it again, it said my device was already registered.

Channels up to 11 only

Postby ncfoster » Thu Jan 17, 2013 10:37 pm

I am registered for the beta. I have the latest beta firmware installed. I have the latest PS3 system update. I have power cycled both devices more than once.

After following the instructions, I have things working partially. The channel listing only goes up to 11, though, which doesn't do me much good, and offers no chances to test HD. Any thoughts?

HDHomeRun Prime not accessible on PS3

Postby ExplosiveOdin » Thu Jan 17, 2013 10:46 pm

I too encountered an error when registering for the beta; when I tried to re-register, I was told my Prime (Device ID: 1314D823) was already registered.

I successfully installed the beta and rebooted both my PS3 Slim and Prime several times, but am not able to see the Prime under "Video."

Looks like some authorizations are failing - we are investigating.

Your ID has been manually fixed - please reboot your HDHomeRun unit.

I'm seeing the same thing here. I got the same error on my first registration attempt and a message that it was already registered when I tried again. I have the new firmware installed and have power cycled a couple of times but am unable to see the Prime.

My device ID is 1311E4B5.

Thanks!
