Ceton- HA!

Postby kaufmg123 » Thu Jan 17, 2013 7:33 pm

Not to be out done Ceton just relaunched the Ceton Companion App as "My Media Center". Their website is now down due to the crush of traffic I assume.

I feel bad for those guys. I really liked their product at first. I had the original PCI card. Ever since then everything they have launched has been pre-beta quality.

I sold both PCI cards for HD Homerun Primes about 6 months ago and could not be happier. I have my Ceton Echo up for sale now. What a joke that was. Video stuttered. Interface was clunky and no Q. Talk about over promising and under delivering.

I cannot wait to test the new DLNA support I am sure it will be a HOMERUN!

AWESOME! Here to report that I'm watching ESPN HD via Project:Connect on LG 55" LED TV (55LM4700). Looks pretty good so far.

Great!

If you create a new thread for this model of TV I will make it sticky.

HDHomerun App on ios store...

Postby TeddyR » Thu Jan 17, 2013 8:42 pm

For those looking for compatible software on the ios store... just a reminder that the elgato Homerun App on the ios store is NOT a DLNA software by SD (at least not at this time....) [I already had it from a while back]

Trying this now on xmbc on a windows viasta machine while a htpc running windows media center 7 is playing a live tv.

The dlna streamer seems to only want to use tuner0. However since tuner0 cannot play encrypted content it will only play unencrypted content. This is due to the conax card and not the tuner however.

Samsung TV

Postby kaufmg123 » Thu Jan 17, 2013 8:53 pm

I cannot get it to work on Samsung Smart TV. I see the cable folder but no channels in it. Anyone else had any luck with Sammy?

Update: It is working now. I think it just needed to wait for the Beta registration to update. I rebooted the box after about an hour it worked.

Samsung 2010 and 2011 Smart TV work with unencrypted channels on Comcast

The DLNA HDHomerun Prime doesn't seem to show up on a Sony N100 media player. It works in XBMC though on the same network so I know it's setup correctly. Oddly enough my MythTV uPNP renderer doesn't work on XBMC but does on the Sony so am not sure what's happening.

Wish I could find a DLNA iOS app that would work to test this. Otherwise drivers were all loaded just fine!
