I have a ceton tuner, but have an HD Prime in my shopping cart right now debating if I should hit the checkout button. I would love to be rid of windows on my HTPC, and use my PS3 or other DTCP-IP devices to watch TV with.

Hopefully you guys make an app for samsung TV's too :)

and seamlessly working with XBMC (openELEC) and I'll have a great solution for Live TV (I can live without HBO, etc) and ALL my media

We really want more details. This "device" or "app" or whatever it is will need to handle CopyOnce flagged material as well as High Bit Rate mkv's with all forms of audio up to including HD Audio codecs in my opinion... Oh and for some netflix and hulu are important too but me not so much.

I placed my order, hopefully I won't be let down :)

@Sammy2

I'm pretty sure that's what DTCP-IP is for. To allow copy protected playback, like copy-once. Copy-freely isn't protected.

I think I know what your are emplying here. When the beta starts on this one, I want in but I am still wondering a few things..

Okay so what devices?

And then what about local content? Will playing copy-protected TV content make playing mkv's a royal PITA?

Could we have a Ceton Echo competitor?

I'm not going to tell you what this is, but I will tell you that it is not a Media Center Extender.

That actually says a lot but the price point needs to be under $200, preferably under $150 and the device needs to work on a Big Screen TV. Watching anything on a handheld device is mostly pointless.

And BTW, it doesn't have to be an extender to compete. If it provides Copy Protected content and streams local content without WMC, more power to it.

Smart. For years, I've wanted the HDHRs to integrate with devices like Roku, Apple TV, etc, using the PC or even NAS for the DVR storage. I hope it's something like that. That would be an awesome product. It would also be great if it could work with XBMC, and then I could use XBMC for everything.

The more I can move to an "appliance" based environment the better. Something running an AppleTV like product that allows some external storage (DVR) would be fantastic.
