Have you considered running lircd on your always on Myth back end server, pointing the HDHR at the backend server, and then configuring lirc to send the Wake-on-LAN packet to your front end system upon receiving the appropriate remote signal? This type of configuration works like a champ for me.

Hope this helps,

The reason that doesn't work for me is that my backend is not running 24/7. My current workaround is that i have lirc running on an openwrt router which sends the wol packets. I just prefer to have as few in between components as possible.

I would be very interested in this feature. This would allow me to turn on HTPC with a remote click (instead of buying iMon or something similar)
Is this already implemented? planned to be implemented? Not under consideration? Can this be hacked somehow?

Thanks
